ACworks, Inc. has just released a free web application called “babyAC”, which predicts the face of an unborn baby from two given faces using the newest technology of artificial intelligence (AI).

BabyAC uses an AI technology called “StyleGAN” to generate images of the baby. StyleGAN learns the characteristics of two given images and combines them to create a new high-resolution image. Using StyleGAN, babyAC extracts facial features from uploaded photos of the two parent, then combines them with a randomly selected baby photo. To speed up the process, “pixel2Style2pixel” encoding technology was also adopted. It has reduced the encoding process, which normally takes about a minute, to a few seconds.

Using babyAC is simple in a few steps:

  • Drag and drop photos to “Dad’s photo” and “Mom’s photo” areas
  • Select “Like dad” or “Like mom” from the dropping menu
  • Click on “See the baby” button
  • See and share the result
  • You can also edit photos of the babies on editorAC

The uploaded images can be JPEG or PNG, and babyAC will automatically crop out the people in images with multiple people. The data is completely discarded after 24 hours, so you can use it with peace of mind in terms of security.
